The day started off as a very busy, standing room only, two hour train and underground journey, finally arriving at the annual Café Culture show held on the West side of the wonderful London Olympia complex.
I say wonderful because this is where an event close to my heart is held every year, the annual Christmas Horse of the Year show. It has around eight thousand people attend the event all week long and is a fantastic experience if you love horses, shopping, eating and drinking.
On a much, much smaller scale, the Café Culture show held over two days this week and hosts a collection of 150 exhibitors from all around Europe to display and present their products/services.
Walking around the show and meeting up with existing and new customers/suppliers was made all the more pleasant when at every turn was some form of delicious and mouth-wateringly amazing food.
In particular were some exceptional meringues the size of which I have never seen before, nothing short of mountainous and come in all sorts of flavours. They looked so appealing and I confess to having tried a taster of the Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, White chocolate and raspberry (to die for) to make sure I was not dreaming.
I really must send a few of the bags we make at Direct Packaging to see if any of our large range will fit and perhaps they could send me some (a lot) of samples to try…
