Price increases

Re: Price increases

Dear Valued Customer,

You are no doubt aware of the conflict in Iran and the effects this has had on fuel and polymer prices across the globe, and the challenging environment we now have in the UK market.

We have at DPL always held large volumes of material stock to manufacture stock and bespoke bags for our customers, and this policy has allowed us to maintain price stability in our offering. The last increase we had on stock bag price list was April 2022, so we have held our prices for 4 years.

The new purchases we have made on raw material in April 2026 have seen increases of between 25 to 35%. In addition to this we have a fuel surcharge increase which I am sure you have also all faced in recent weeks. We have also seen increases in plastic packaging tax from 1st April 2026, which we have every year, and we have not passed on to our customers.

We invested heavily in renewable solar power in Q1 2023, and this has seen a reduction in our energy usage by 30,000 kWh per annum, which again has helped us to keep prices stable.

It is therefore unfortunately inevitable that we will have to increase prices on our stock bags from May 1st 2026. We have tried to keep the increase to a minimum, and this is reflected in the new price lists, which have risen between 5.1% to 8%. This increase will also be reflected on bespoke bags, which will be quoted on the new raw material prices with immediate effect.

I would like to thank you for your continued business and support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the team at DPL.

Best Regards,

Steve Knight

Managing Director
